Subs and Payments

We use Online Scout Manager (OSM) to meet most of our administration needs.

Scouting subs are £14 per month for Beavers and Cubs and £15 per month for Scouts.or a

We can claim Gift Aid on membership fees.  We encourage all parents and guardians to complete the Gift Aid information on OSM.

This link can be used to open OSM to review and make payments.

Where the money goes

Our group uses Membership Subs that are paid each month to fund several things.

Activities / Badges

Our weekly section programmes are centred around fun activities for the young people to do.  These activities often count towards Activity and Challenge badges.  Subs fund these activities and pays for the badges awarded to our young people.

Capitation

“Capitation” is a charge we pay to our District for every young person who is a member of our group, regardless of how often that young person attends.

The fees we pay fund the support we get from our District, from the Greater London South-West County and the Scout Association Headquarters.  The Scout Association provides insurance for scouting activities we organise, whether at our hut or away from it.

Hut Costs

Infrastructure costs; our hut must be heated, lit, cleaned, serviced and insured.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
