3rd Whitton (Ibn Battuta) Mosque Tour

 

3rd Whitton organised an activity day on Saturday 23rd June 2007 in partnership with  Hounslow Mosque Open Day. An opportunity was offered for the Ibn Battuta cubs/scouts to gain a my faith badge on Islam and other cubs/scouts a world faith badge on Islam. Some of the activities that took place were: trying out traditional Muslim clothes and getting your picture taken, tucking into exotic Muslim foods around the world, having a go at Arabic calligraphy, a guided tour of an Islamic Exhibition and the Mosque. Over 500 people attended – it was a very interesting day for all. A big thanks to Hounslow Mosque for allowing us to organise activities on their premises.
