ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

 

The 3rd Whitton Scout Group held their Annual General Meeting on the 21 July. At the meeting, the group executive was re-elected and the GSL gave an overview of the year’s activities.

At a glittering ceremony, prizes were awarded for  beaver, cub and scout of the year.

A 5 year certificate was awarded to scout leader Caron and Richard’s woodbadge was presented by the District Commissioner Steve Miles.

Michael received his Gold Award, the top award that can be given for scouting at 3rd Whitton, before moving to Explorers. Congratulations!

The Annual General Meeting is an important event in the Scouting calendar. The Group Council, which comprises all adults, including parents, and explorer scouts within 3rd Whitton. In accordance with scouting rules, they need to elect the Group Executive Committee which effectively manages the Scout Group.

 

The Executive Committee for 2006/7 was re-elected for another year.
