Beavers New Year Party
2nd Whitton Beavers show off what they had made during the afternoon
On 27 January the Richmond upon Thames District held a New Years Party for all Beaver Scouts. The event was held at Teddington Baptist Church.
The Beavers were entertained by Professor Fumble who performed circus tricks and got some Beavers to assist him!

I had been looking forward to the Beaver party all week. I did not know what to expect. I thought we would all play some games in a big hall, but I was wrong the beaver party was much better than that.
The first game I played I was on the green team. You had to stand on the chair when your number was called and try to knock down the skittle with a beanbag. At first the green team were loosing but they caught up and won, so I was very pleased.
Next we played with the parachute. The first game was sharks. The shark had to pull your legs in and I got pulled in twice. Then we played cat and mouse. The cat got the mouse easily so we cheered.
We then went into a different room to make puppets. There were lots of different materials and I used the materials to make a school pupil with a school uniform on. All of my friends did different things with their puppets. All of the puppets looked amazing!
When we got into the next room we sat down. The clown explained what we could do. There were so many circus tricks to do. The clown could do amazing tricks. These are the kind of things that we could play with:

I tried all of them and they were great fun. Then I got a balloon which was shaped as a sword I could then fight with.
Finally the moment we had all been waiting for had come. We entered the hall, and we were all reunited again. We ate our delicious food and sat next to each other. We started to dance to many different songs. The next thing we knew we had to go home but we will all remember that day!
I know that if you meet a beaver leader they will always have something up their sleeve!
THAT WAS ONE OF THE BEST PARTIES EVER!
